This place. The Popolo's Pizza. It doesn't get talked about enough. Me-n-Ed's does plenty. Mike's does some. But, dammit, Popolo's needs some more Fresnan love.
What with its made-to-order baked sandwiches, pitchers of beer, big ass 30'' pizzas and ALL booth seating. There isn't a better lunch place in North Fresno (even if the strip mall it's in is weird lookin').

Introducing a new segment (you might have heard on our last podcast) called "Underrated." We just pick something that might be a little under appreciated and tell you about it. First off, Northwest Fresno eatery: The Berrock Shop.
This spot has been around a long time and for good reason. We've yet to hear of or have a bad experience at this place - food or service wise. It has got a very "old Fresno" feel when you walk in, and we like that. The tri-tip, burgers, chicken potpies and (of course) berrocks are perfect. Plus the prices ain't bad either. Try this place out or reaquaint yourself, soon.
