Streaming Fresno: Buffalo Guns

It's been a while for our Streaming Fresno segment but we return with Madera based and Fresno playing (not a ton of Madera venues) indie rock band, Buffalo Guns.

Buffalo G will be playing in a warehouse in Clovis on Saturday. If you're not that into the "warehouse scene" then you might want to wait till July 18th when they play Milano's.

The one song we always gravitate to on their Myspace song player is "Alphabet City" - it's got a dramatic chorus that's fun to sing along with, even if we're not sure of the lyrics.

Streaming Fresno: New metal from HateFX

Fresno's most polished metal band, HateFX, is finally done with their new album called "The Holy Frail". So done that you can buy it right the hell now by going here. Or, just pick up the new CD in person because H8FX will be one of the bands playing in Sanger on Saturday night at The Venue. In person is always a more metal way to go. Plus, I mean, Sanger dude, you know you were looking for a reason to head out there (like you need one).

Alright so, maybe it's not cool to use a Kenny Loggins song to represent Fresno metal band Mercury Bullet. But it's Kenny fuckin' Loggins, son. And best yet: it's Danger Zone. Hey, Mercury picked it.

Streaming Fresno: Robots Love Thrash

Because MySpace music players are cumbersome as monkey, we're firing up a new way to sample Fresno music without the slow loading crappyness. We'll just pick a song from a particular local band and let you listen to it with our player.

Fresno's Robots Love Thrash (damn awesome name) is the first band featured. They are (as you might have guessed) a experimental thrash band and kinda awesome.
