If you're wondering what Psychostick is all about, Psychostick is:

A comedy metal (self-proclaimed "humorcore") band with areputation for having hilarious lyrics, heavy riffs, notorious stage antics, and a high energy performance. The music successfully crosses a level of heaviness and aggression foundin bands such as Chimaira, Machine Head, and Hatebreed with the wit and humor of The Bloodhound Gang, Tenacious D, and Weird Al Yankovic.

So there ya go. Joining them tonight at Starline is Downtown Brown (Detroit), Cousin Fister and Fresno's hardest working punk band, It'll Grow Back.

Focused On Fresno: Sea Lion Cove Edition

Things are looking pretty damn cool at the Sea Lion Cove being constructed at Fresno Chaffee Zoo. The exhibit's viewing area is starting to come into focus (where the dudes are standing under the poles) and it's slightly exciting to us AND the zoo's sea lions. Go measure Z, ey!?

Do This Fresno!: Go Mall To Mall

It is Bike Month douncha know Fresno!? Plenty of things going on in town this month - Fresno is working its way to becoming a biking city, if we're not already. Wednesday is a very cool event called the Mall-to-Mall Ride...actually it probably WAS a cool event since you're probably reading this too late because we totally suck ass and only posted about this the night before...*sigh*

What would have happened is you would have joined up with other local cycle-heads at Manchester Mall and had a escorted ride to Fulton Mall. More details on I Bike Fresno.

Yeah so we missed that. At least there is Bike To Work Day on the horizon.

New Music Tuesday: Eindrah "Meander"

Check out Eindrah. They (from Visalia) just played Fresno last weekend. Heard some good buzz about them, decided to check them out. Really interesting and fresh sounding stuff. Have a listen:

In the accident, Jeff lost the use of his leg for a while (kinda needed when you drive a pedicab). Local musicians and cyclists are coming together to help Jeff out, and all during bike month:

FULTON 55: There will be a Rogue Festival "aduation party" happening with a buncha stuff plus Gayle and The Bowties. Details.

Fresno's really showing off now. It's Spring and there's too damn much going on, especially for one shitty blogger to keep up with. ArtHop is tonight with dumps of stuff (artists love it when you refer to their pieces as "dumps of stuff") all over at places like this:

Tonight @ Fulton 55: Middle Class Rut

Just like last week, Fulton 55 has a very strong weeknight show that's getting only light buzz. Tonight Sacramento's Middle Class Rut is in town. They just got done touring with Chevelle and had a recent song that had heavy national radio airplay, "New Low" (personally one of our most played songs from 2011).
