INCOMING!: Rademacher's CD Release Show Is Saturday @ Fulton 55

Their is no question, Fresno's Indie Rock Monarch is Rademacher. Yes, and they will be releasing their final album from their completely stellar "Babyhawk" trillogy on Tuesday March 6th. But they are having a party for it Saturday at Fulton 55. Brother Luke and the Comrades are playing too along with LA band NO. It should be a great show, one that fills the place and helps send Rademacher on their way to this year's SXSW.

New Music Tuesday: Joel Robert Melton "Wounded Animals"

Joel Robert Melton's stuff be described as low-fi indie space art alt rock. Sure, whatever that is. Doesn't matter, it's nice to listen to whatever you want to call it. That said, we wouldn't recommend playing it on a long sleepy drive home or working on night crew at Vons, as you may nod off. But it's very good and not something you hear in Fresno every day. Highlights for us include "Withdraws", "Elsewhen" and "Evil Thing, Spitting Light".

Something You May Or May Not Give A Shit About: Fresno Is Not A Hipster City

Normally we ignore the hell out of lists and where Fresno is on them... alright, well, we don't ignore them, we just pretend to. But when we see one that has cities like Boise, Spokane, CHICO, Modesto, San Luis Obispo, Reno, Monterey, Sacramento and... (wait for it) BAKERSFIELD on it and NOT Fresno, we admit to paying attention.

This list comes from the Fixie Bike Index. From what we gather, it takes the amount of fixie bixes per capita and equates that to how "hipster" a city is. That's really about as acurate as anything could be when you think about it.

So how in the FUCK is Bakersfield, BOISE and Modesto more hipster than us?

Sure, maybe it's a good thing -- really we don't know. But you do think of a city being cooler if hipsters think it's cool (sadly). Plus, we have made nice strides in being a good biking city, you'd think there would be some stats to back that up -- or a spot on a bullshit list somewhere at least.

New Music Tuesday!: Fay Wrays "Cars"

Fresnan favorite, the Fay Wrays, sorta randomly released a new song for us all called "Cars". It's sorta awesome. We like it. It's got this cool simple thing going but it manages to still feel important, like it's deeper than we realize... or something. We're not good at "giving reviews" just listen please (it's a free download, by the way):

Actually "Cars" isn't totally random. Fay Wrays are going to put a new vinyl release out in the somewhat near future and this will be on it. We'll keep an ear out for it.

KUPPAJOE'S: Expect big things from... From Indian Lakes this year. They've released some new music and are going out on tour to support. One of the area's best alt bands for sure. Good stuff showing with them as well: K-sera, Via Coma and Corsair. Details:

AUDIE'S OLYMPIC: Ol timey swinging Fresnans, The Old Tire Swingers, have been touring across the pond (for realz) and are finally back home to recharge before SXSW. Time to party with Brother Luke And The Comrades and Still Stoked. Ought to be a good one:

STARLINE: Hard rocking Fresnans, Death Alley Motor Cult, have some new stuff coming out and are out promoting, partying and playing tonight. Joining them is HateFX, Grooveyard and Max Kaos:
