Friday is a great looking night, many choices, all good. Saturday ... well there is the Tour De Fresno and Reel Pride happening, plus Jucifer and Catharsus at least. Let's Bandgeek, shall we?
FRIDAY
AUDIE'S OLYMPIC: Seems like a bit since Strange Vine has played... seems like it. So it's good to have them back at Audie's tonight. Especially with Brooklyn's We Barbarians and ANR. Details:
STARLINE: Alice In Cooperland (if it has to be explained what musician they are tributing then forget it) Undying Will, Don't Tell Her That and Six Day Truce, all at the Starline tonight:
THE RANCH: When you manage to get Elmo Marconi to play, you've got something, my friend. It almost doesn't matter what other bands are playing but we should mention it's Seahaven (L.A.), The Speed Of Sound In Seawater (Sactown), Groundskeeper (Oakland) and more. Details:
CLUB RETRO: Metalcore and local with Your Hero Is A Villain, We Sunk The Mayflower, Tiger Blood, Murder My Hero and more.
[7pm, $12, All ages]
FULTON 55: It's Fresno’s Fab Faux "The BEETLES" turn to play F-55. Obviously The Beatles have a large catalog for a tribute band to choose from but band member, Blake Jones, hints at some of what they be playing "[we'll] take on the White Album -- ok, we probably won’t do Revolution #9, but a whole big chunk of that record for sure!"
[Doors at 8, show at 9. Tickets are $10. 21+]
SATURDAY
CYC: Bakersfield death metal rumbles into town with Catharsus. Plus locals I The Deciever, Fractalline from L.A. and more:
AUDIE'S OLYMPIC: Fresno's newest indie-twee-folk bands Scorched-Earth Policy and Jucifer. HA! Just kiding, you know they're metal bands. Doom metal. I mean, look at the artwork, foo:
FULTON 55: Touring folk pop singer songwriter: Lucy Kaplansky. Tickets. [7pm, $20, 21+]
THEN, after that is local Carlos Santana cover band: Heavy Weather. Tickets. [9:30pm, $8, 21+]
SUNDAY
VENI VIDI VICI'S:
CYC: A festival worth of bands presented by Audiocore, I Destroyed The Empire, Our Last Decade, Decapitate The Throne, The Human Controtion, Failed Creation and Oh, The Horror. Details:
