Above is a Pop Laval photograph of a Fresno family with its snowman, taken January 12, 1930 - so yeah, it snows here every great once in a while. The house is at 1305 N. Farris and, thanks to Google Street View, we can easily check and see what the house looks like today:
Not too big of a difference, really. Pretty sweet to be the current owner of this home and to now have a picture of the family that lived there 80 years ago... in the snow.
Side note: As you can see, the Pop Laval picture has spots on it due to the decay of the negative - a problem many of Pop's pictures now have. If you can help the Pop Laval Foundation with the scanning of the remaining usable negatives, they'd love to hear from ya.
