A rare Monday night show for Fresno. It has some special things happening too. First, there is the New Orleans band, Generationals. "It comes as kind of a pleasant surprise to hear a band from N.O. sound this bright and enraptured in life's simple joys.” so says the all mighty, Pitchfork.
Have a free listen to their song When They Fight They Fight. And watch a video:
The Generationals spent Halloween eating tacos in Tulare to get fueled up for the show, so, you know, they should be ready.
Also happening, the apparent last Fresno show of Merced's, El Olio Wolof. So either they're sick as hell of doing Fresno shows, or they are breaking up. Which is sad because El Olio is a amazing local band. One that had true potential to make it outside of the Valley and always blew this blog away. They shall be missed... after tonight.
