You may have figured out where you're going for ArtHop tonight, but what about after? Tokyo Garden and Audie's Olympic both have interesting shows and they need to battle it out before we can decide where to go. So let's get it on. One. Two. Threeeee BATTLE:
>Tokyo Garden will have Bay Area band The Aimless Nevermiss and they have a intriguing video we can watch immediately:
"Bound" by The Aimless Never Miss from Jon Pidgeon on Vimeo.
>Audie's Olympic will have So Cal band Cheetahsaurus. Recently the Ventura County Reporter tab them as "...possibly the only band ever to ever make aggressive use of the autoharp." I don't know why, but I like that.
>Audie's Olympic will have Buffalo Guns. They are from Madera. We like that.
>Tokyo Garden will have Rademacher with soon-to-not-be-drummer ,Eli, playing one of his last shows with the band...
WAIT! Stop the battle! I've heard enough. The Tokyo Garden show wins. No, I don't need to hear about Robo Pop or Silence Interrupted playing Audie's. Or that Bad Hand is playing Tokyo and that they sound like they might be kinda rough (that's a good thing). Nope, all we needed to hear is a last chance to see Eli back there (before he goes full time with his other band) and we're there. But we aint gonna look bad at-cha if you head over to Club Fred/Audie's... or both. And hey, there's even a third post ArtHop show to check, this one featuring our man JJ Brown at Babylon in the Tower District.
Have fun tonight, Tivo The Office and 30 Rock for us, and please come back here to comment if you have any kind of reviews.
