BATTLES: WARREN VS. RICH

Because we love new segments here at The Fresnan: "BATTLES".  We take two similar Fresno things and have them battle - Valley Floor style bitch!  - I don't know what that means either.

Our first combatants:  Channel 24's Rich Rodriguez and ABC 30's Warren Armstrong.

• Warren gets to gaze upon Graciela while at work.  Rich gets to see Stefani Boo' check breasts.
• Warren has been a Fresno Famous person.  Rich is famous for singing in local karaoke bars.  
• Warren has a full head of hair.  Oh, wait, so does Rich.
• Warren is rumored to have read the Fresnan.  Rich is a Crime Stopper.
• Warren is from Wooster, Ohio.  Rich is a valley boy (Exeter).

Well hell, this is a even match.  Rich is from here and is a pretty good singer (I've heard him, he's not bad).  But Warren pops up on Fresno's blogsphere...we like that.  Results after you click below.

World Series of Bulldog Media

There is a little bit of media attention for the Fresno State baseball team (outside of the Bee), as they get set to open it up with Rice (those WAC defecting little bitches).   Here is a nice one from espn.com and one from the Omaha World Herald.

The Bee's Matt James and Bryant-Jon Anteola are in Omaha - not that anyone's paying attention to them on the Sports Buzz.  Nice to see Matt's clean-ass head and Bryant are slowly coming around to some new media even if their blogging is sporadic.  Be one of...several, to watch what I mean:

Fresno State is on ESPN Sunday at 11:00.

The Dope: Cops and Casters

Have you seen or heard some Fresno gossip lately?  These readers have:

ITEM ONE:  Fellow local blogger Ed Stewart spotted and even took pictures of Corin Hoggard & John-Thomas Kobos at the Landmark in the Tower District.  Unfortunately, Graciela was not pictured...dammit!

ITEM TWO:  "I saw Dan Taylor and Angelo Stalis at Thirsty Thursday at the Grizzlies game. They were dressed in their newscaster uniform: white shirts, ties. I can't say whether they had $1 beers, but they were taking food of some sort up the elevator so they didn't have to eat with the commoners, i.e. me."

ITEM THREE: Fresno's chief of police, Jerry Dyer, was having lunch at Livingstones last week with a few of his officers.  As he was leaving, he stops above the bar area (populated by only two people in the corner) and, as if he was running for President, says "Hows it goin!?" to nobody in particular and walks out.
