Indy Gameplaning Time

Fresno's blogsphere is already Jonesing for the Fresno inspired Indy 4.  At this point, I'm just worrying about where in Fresno should I see Indy Crystal Skull?  Yes, some other Indy Nerd could say  "I don't know, I'm making this up as I go."  But me, I need a game-plan.

• SIERRA VISTA.  It's kinda far out there for a Central Fresnan and I don't have Sallah to guide me.  But, it is shinny and new.
• MANCHESTER.  Probably has the best sound in town (and that can be big for a nerd).  Can get busy and dirty, but will have some opening day energy.
• EDWARDS.  Fresno's movie mecca for the masses.  Therein lies the problem:  Too many dipshits.  Although, this will be the place for opening day electricity.
• BROADWAY FAIRE.  This will be the most mellow, which can be good or bad.  But it is well run, important in an event movie opening.

My pick?  Broadway Faire.  The magnitude of the Indiana opening will overcome Broadway's usual mellowness, but it still won't be so crazy that it will get annoying.
 
Now the only thing left:  Midnight or ThursDAY.

Bako still not as cool as Fresno

Yes, Fresno was the epicenter of movie set coolness (also known as nerdness) last October when Indy 4 was partially being filmed at Fresno's Chandler Airport.  Now Bakersfield is trying to one up us. 

Scenes for the new Star Trek film are being filmed on the Valley Floor near Bakersfield.  They were trying to keep it quiet until the film's site manager got into a traffic accident.

Nice try Bakersfield, but Indiana Jones trumps Star Trek.  Fresno's nerds are cooler than yours.

Fresno Jones: it's a wrap!

We all know about the craziness that was the new Indiana Jones Movie filming its final scenes at Fresno's Chandler Airport.  Well, now IndianaJones.com has a compilation video of all of the movie series "wraps", including - what I'm pretty...mostly sure is - the Fresno "wrap"  of Crystal Skull.  Check it.

Real writers strike! Bloggers? Who cares!

Without writers, Hollywood would be nothing.  So then why do writers get treated like shit?  Right now, the writers union is trying to change that.  Good luck kids.  And hey, don't get down about having to strike, your lot in life could be worse.  You could be blogging about Fresno FOR FREE.
