Monday Hangover: A Famous Rumor

FresnoFamous.com's "Famous Whitewater" uses Fresno's downtown skyline as a backdrop to deliver some big Fresno internet news: (please excuse the darkness, aka crap camera work)

I'm called a Fresnan, BITCH!

I can kinda handle being "out blogged" by pros like Mike Oz or Josh Tehee.  Even fellow indie bloggers like Ed Luv.  But being beatin to the punch by a letter to Bee's Editors?  Dammit if that doesn't feel bad.

I have been shamed by some guy named Wes Beal.  He wrote about the California Lottery's new ad campaign.  The ads incorporate the titles residences use to describe themselves.  For Fresno, they called us "Fresnians."

What a bunch of copywriting dipshits.  Dudes, ya gotta do a little research before you run an ad incorporating Fresno.  Seriously.  If you piss Fresnans off, you know we'll come after you.

Monday Hangover: West Hills Hillarious

Did you read Sunday's Bee over the weekend?  Catch the piece in the Spotlight section on Fresno's commercial actors?  All good choices to do a story on, with one glaring omission:  West Hills College Guy.

He is also known as...um..."comedian" Ernie G.  For some time now, he has been staring in an annoyingly unfunny commercial series for West Hills.

Al Radka rolls over in his grave every time an Ernie G ad airs:

Blog wars and bad ad copy

It has been some time since there's been a good local blog war;  And wouldn't you know it, the latest is about Fresno.

One of the Fresno Bee's finest (Mike Oz) found this gem of a blog post, ripping Fresno and pointing out the lame, poorly written, national Prius commercial.  Watch and listen to the Fresno joke and then go email the company responsible.
