We do a lot of posting about local music shows around here. Rarely do we get involved, outside of having too many Tamaracks and annoying everyone at the show. But Friday we're putting a little something more into a particular show ... just because we're nice n' stuff:
The show features 20 Sided Records artist and S.F. indie rock band: Slow Trucks (fronted by Visalia native David Mitchell). They're good. If you're into local indie-rs like old Pinkeye or Rademacher or Sunburns (more on them later), then you'll like Slow Trucks. We've been listening a lot to their latest album "Hard" while driving down 99. It fits well for whatever reason. Download it and try it yourself:
Locals too, we gots locals. Madera's Buffalo Guns. Maybe one of the most underrated bands around these parts. Always strong, so strong they're headlining this bitch.
The Sunburns are playing too. (Yes!) They are Fresnans and are fronted by Andy Bunnell whom you may know from local indie legends, Pinkeye. Sunburns get better every time out and we're looking forward to hearing and seeing them again.
This is all going down in Chinatown at C.A.F.E. Infoshop. Get some directions here. Cover is $5. It's ALL AGES and starts early. Like around 7pm early. So, you know, it'll end in time to check out the Melvins too - if that's your thing.
Hope to see you out there!
