The Fresno Urban Sound Experience festival (or, FuSE Fest), Fresno's biggest local music showcase, happening in Downtown Fresno on Saturday October 23rd, is still a ways off. But, that doesn't mean it isn't time to learn about some of the bands playing this year.
So, as we remember the festival is all about Fresno's music diversity, downtown, and trying to use bands that have not yet played FuSE; we give you a partial lineup of the 2010 FuSE Fest:
- Azazel
- Blake Jones Trike Shop.
- It'll Grow Back.
- Trumpet Solo.
- Say Swear.
- Hate FX.
- Shiver Fox.
- The Whiskey and the Devil Chaplain.
- JJ Brown.
- Viper City Brass Band.
- Your Hero Is A Villain.
- E.ROSE.
- Tony Manjarrez Latin Jazz Band.
- Third Rail Power.
- Espacio.
- Achievement House.
- Bicicleta.
- AC Myles.
It's a start. It's a damn fine start. The lineup will continue to grow as we get closer to the festival. And yeah, there will be a DJ venue again (in some shape or form) and also some venues never used before (just no parking garages).
You can follow FuSE Fest's Twitter feed and Facebook page to stay informed. If you're looking to be an awesome sponsor of the event (there are some nice packages), contact FuSE somehow (email them).
The FuSE Fest is our favorite Fresno event so we're very much looking forward to it. If you want to rip, praise or add a band you want to see October 23rd, feel free to comment away.
