There are many distractions this weekend with the River Cats in town, Fresno State's Spring Scrimmage, the Diamond Dogs at Beiden, Fresno Tattoo Expo and Free Comic Book Day at Heroes. Luckily none of these have to interfere with going to see some live music this weekend. It just so happens we have some recommendations for that:
FRIDAY
TOKYO GARDEN: It's a return of the "Quiet" series as indie songwriters go solo. Malcolm Sosa (Rademacher), Nillo Smeds (Wheels Of Fortune), Porch Yellers, David Strackany. [9:00 $6]
AUDIE'S
OLYMPIC: So we totally saw this show was supposed to happen Thursday but we GUESS it's happening tonight. Long time OC punk band The Adolescents are playing (we hope). They've influenced folks like Pennywise, Bad Religion and The Offspring. [9:00 $?]
STARLINE: Pleanty of Fresno rock music with Say Swear, Leather Serpent, Beta State, Exit Oneil and Boy of Miscief. [8:00? $6 All Ages]
CLUB RETRO: Guess these iCatch Fire guys are going on Vans Warped Tour this summer. Who knew. Before that, they're playing their metal-hardcore asses out, for you tonight:
BABYLON: It's the post party for the Fresno Tattoo Expo with The Henchmen, Synerza, Midnight Howlers and more:
STARLINE: The D4D kids have brought the System Of Freaks Tour to town for ya:
CLUB RETRO:
SUNDAY
While there won't be bands playing it looks band related:
So that's what we're aware of. If you know of something else or want to talk about what's listed, please be cool and leave a comment. To make sure your band is listed next time, always email: mike@thefresnan.com
Enjoy Fresno this weekend!
