Any other week, it would have been Heather McLane hijacking Mike Oz's Fres-Know post to tell Fresno's blogs that they suck monkey and need to get better [The Hive and DumbDrum being her exceptions]. Any other other week, it would have been all of the Extreme Makeover: Fresno Edition hoopla. But, these moments don't make it in a week that a blogger goes national.
This week's Bloggiest Moment is, an article and blog post, written by the Bee's Mike Osegueda, about an old Fresno lady finding a 139-year-old baseball card - one of the first ever made. It then gets picked up nationally by places like Yahoo and CBS Evening News, all culminating in the subject of the article/blog-post soon getting appearances on the talk show circuit, starting with (Leno sucks) the Tonight Show.
This is pretty damn huge. The only thing that could keep this from being the Bloggiest Moment of 2009 is the lack of a blog war... maybe HMac can start some baseball-card-nerd trash talk and send things over the edge.
