Since we know you probably don't give shits how this nerdass segment works, we're going to tell ya - this blog is annoying like that. Bloggiest Moment [Relesed every Saturday night at 1:01 am] is determined through simple blogmath: BlogOriginality + FresnoRelatedness + FresnoBlogosphereParticipationess = Fresno's Bloggiest Moment of the Week. And this week, there are choices.
CHOICE A: Top five Fresno Bloggers to watch in 2009. It has a large amount of local bloggers featured and commenting which could make it a lock. But, minus a point for being from The Fresnan.
CHOICE B: Best chicken wings in Fresno. Motivated by her effort to fill in for the Hive's content machine, Heather Mclane reveals to the world she goes to Applebees [just for the wings]. But, what choice does a person have in this town? Many readers give their options.
CHOICE C: KMPH tells Comcast to go fuck themselves. This one is loaded with comments from the usual and unusual readers. It was the first local post about the Comcast vs KMPH battle and it has the words "fuck" and "Kopi." But, again, minus a point for being a Fresnan post.
CHOICE D: Extreme Makeover: Fresno Edition. Many blog posts around the blogoshpere about this one - even some podcast talk. And, this story will get some national attention March 8th when the episode airs.
So, now that it's clear how this segment is figured out (and is way too thought out), the Bloggiest Moment is: Choice C. The fact that it became the one spot for people to breakdown the battle (and trash Comcast), it was a local story, and it had a beginning, middle and end, is what sold me.
