My Brain drains just fine in Fresno, thank you
I love when Fresno brain drainers are honest with themselves and admit they still think about and even miss Fresno. Sometimes it takes a strong individual, or even couple.
One particular drain couple thinks about Fresno so much, they decided to blog about it. Valley Notebook is:
"Tracking down former Valley residents [brain drainers] and finding out what they’re doing, why they don’t live in the Valley, and what it would take for them to move back."
So if you're a valley native living the non-valley lifestyle, hit them up. I know they want to hear from you.
Even if you are one of those dump-on-your-hometown-assholes.

Hey sweeeeet, I'll be one of those "brain drains" this fall.
That's assuming that I'm smart enough to be worthy of the title.

not sure you qualify. not because you're not smart, but because i think they used the term for people going into/working in certain jobs.
then again, maybe yours does because it's a creative field. i forget.
but when you come back you can be a boomerang.

Thanks for this post, Fresnan.
I hope it helps us broaden our pool outside Clovis and outside 26-27 age range.
Btw, I really love what you do for Fresno. Part of what I've been learning from the brain drain posts is that more people would move back if they could find more people and outlets like this.
I think Jay's comments were interesting because he knows about the Tower and some of the creative, "smart" people in Fresno but it's too tiresome a battle to go out and find it.

I don't know Ed, I checked out the site where they're compiling the info and several of the people profiled are still away at school actually.

Find it?
It's on The Beehive every Friday. It's called Post No Bills -- a one-stop overdose of things to do.
