It's the return of the quickest podcast in all of the Fresno internets. It is 20 Seconds With A Fresnan. We have a quick talk with a Fresnan, let them promote something they're up to and record it.
This episode we talk with Jaime Holt. She is a local actress, on the board of Creative Fresno, works to make the valley's air cleaner, sings, probably likes toast and is just an all around good Fresnan.
So let's hear what Jaime has to say- you may need to crank it up a bit. Click to listen in:
It's Rogue Festival time ... still. Lots of shows to see. Most ever maybe. Joshua Tehee is in two of them. So we thought we'd give him a chance to plug 'em. Let's listen in and see if he can do that in under 20 seconds.
He is Fresno's "Blogfather". He writes columns for local newspapers. He tweets. He likes the Oakland A's. He's Mike Oz of the Fresno Bee and Beehive.
Mike has something to promote, maybe multiple things. So we allow him 20 seconds of audio time on The Fresnan to say what he wants. That's the game. or podcast. or whatever.
Local promoter, Art Silva, keeps his promoting hand strong. If you haven't been to an Art Silva show then you probably don't get out much. Art just got done with Thrash n Burn on Monday and has several things coming up, this weekend in fact. And we'll find out about that and more after listening to Art play our little dorky podcast inspired game called "20 Seconds With A Fresnan".

It's the longest "20 Seconds" ever but it's cool because we get to learn a little bit about Art's history, how busy his day is, talk local venues and bands. And it just may all tie into this:
It seems Devoya Mayo, aka Ms. Soulflower, is always doing something cool around Fresno. In fact, she may be doing something cool tonight. Probably, probably. Let's find out, through a little dorky telephone game we like to call: 20 Seconds With A Fresnan.
What hecks is this? We give Devoya only 20 seconds to tell us about her event. Sure, it costs us the same whether it's 20 seconds or 20 hours, but what fun would be 20 hours be? Plus we're jerks.

Weeee! Yay for Internets. Without it we wouldn't get to play our little audio game "20 Seconds With A Fresnan." We find a Fresnan that might have something to plug and give them a little slice of this blog to do it. But we give them only 20 seconds to do it in - research has found that 21 seconds of plugging is boring as hell but 20 seconds or less kicks ass.
It's annoying Fresno's Internets, one Fresnan at a time. It's the new game: 20 Seconds With A Fresnan. We let a Fresnan talk about whatever they want for 20 seconds, record it, then judge whether they got the proper info out. Look, it's just a goofyass way to promote some junk, okay? Just freaking go with it.
Up for playing our audio games this time: Patrick Contreras. He can play violin, but can he talk about it?
Well, it was so much fun last time, we wanted to do it again. We give some Fresnan, 20 seconds of Fresno Internet time to plug whatever they want and we threaten them with something if they fail their mission.
Up today is James Collier, representing Taste Fresno. Apparently he has something going on this weekend he'd like folks to know about. So, let's play 20 Seconds With A Fresnan!
New feature. It's called "20 Seconds With A Fresnan". We record 20 seconds of a Fresnan attempting to pimp something. Let's see if this works.
Our first victim is Bryan Harley of DumbDrum.com and Cross Streets fame. He may be involved in some event happening Saturday. Listen to our little audio game and maybe you'll find out what.
Alright, he handle it well so he definitely deserves the plug. Find out more about Swede Fest here and show up at Starline this Saturday at 5:00 to see all the Swede style magic:
The Fresnan is a blog drunk on Fresno's sweet sweet booze.
We like posting about local music and random Fresno culture junk. We like Downtown, tri-tip, South of Shaw battles, tamales and remembering when there was a fig orchard at Herndon & Palm. We like to occasionally go to River Park but tell people we never go there.
